LG’s latest CineBeam ultra short-throw projector is a dream — if you can afford it
LG’s CineBeam — A Dream Projector (In Moderation)
LG always wants to provide their fans with the best technology and the best experience, and it’s clear that their latest CineBeam ultra short-throw projector lives up to this lofty goal. But before you get too excited, one small detail remains: it’s a bit expensive.

How is it?
Well, that depends on how you look at it. It’s definitely got a lot to offer. The CineBeam can project high-definition 4K Ultra HD images up to 120 inches diagonally, and with HDR 10 and Wyde Vision 3.2 support, you’re sure to get vivid colors and sharp contrast. LG pairs this with LG’s WebOS 3.5 smart TV platform, so you’ll have access to plenty of applications. Here’s a quick list of what you can expect from this projector:
- High-Definition Picture: 4K Ultra HD and HDR 10 support
- Screen Size: Project images up to 120 inches diagonally
- Smart TV Platform: LG’s WebOS 3.5
- High Quality Sound: Dolby Digital Plus and 5.1-channel surround sound
It Might Be Too Much for your Bank Balance
You might be saying “Wow, sign me up!”, but there’s a slight problem. At an MSRP of $5,999, it’s definitely not cheap. It might have all the bells and whistles, but maybe you should ease the strain on your bank balance by treating yourself to a slightly less extravagant projector.
Time to Get Creative
If you’re absolutely determined to get your hands on a CineBeam, then it’s time to get creative. You could try setting up a crowdfunding project to get your friends and family to chip in, go halfers with a friend, or even take out a loan. Or, if you’re a bit of a handy person, you could make your own projector out of things you find around the house. Practically anything can be used to project an image, from magnifying glasses to mirrors.
Either way, no matter how you look at it, the LG CineBeam ultra short-throw projector is a dream come true…in moderation.
