OnePlus took a page from Samsung’s playbook for rumoured foldable names

OnePlus Plays Follow the Leader with Foldable Names

Foldable phones are all the rage, but it looks like OnePlus has jumped on the bandwagon a little too late. But when it comes to name choice, OnePlus has found success in the biggest of places. That’s right folks, OnePlus is taking a page of out of Samsung’s PlayBook.

Who Said Being Unoriginal is a Bad Thing?

If you’re into following tech trends like myself, you’d know that every company wants to have their own version of the next big thing. The problem is, being creative and original takes time and effort, two things OnePlus apparently didn’t have. Instead, they opted to copy Samsung’s naming convention for their own foldable device.

This isn’t too shocking considering that the names the two companies have been using are similar. Samsung offers the Galaxy Fold and the Galaxy Z Flip, while OnePlus has the OnePlus Folds and the OnePlus Z Flip. The similarities between the names had us raising our eyebrows at first, but it makes sense for OnePlus to follow the footsteps of the behemoth that is Samsung.

PlayBook or Not, Can’t Wait to See What OnePlus Comes Up With!

We’re excited to see what OnePlus will come up with and how it differs from Samsung’s foldables! Maybe they’ll come up with something revolutionary and new that will wow us, or maybe they’ll just do something that we’ve already seen. One thing is for certain though, OnePlus will be the talk of the town when it comes to the foldable market.

We can’t wait to see what they come up with, but until then, here are a few things to look forward to with these devices:
