Some games warn Twitter API changes could lock players out
Say Goodbye to Twitter & All Those Games!
It seems like it’s the end of the world for gamers as Twitter slaps down some changes that may lock players out of their favourite games. It’s a bummer, we know, but don’t despair, because we’ve got all the info you need to know and maybe you can still sneak some game time in!

What’s Going On With the Twitter API?
It seems that Twitter is releasing new changes to the Twitter API and it’s not good news for developers. As a result, many games will stop supporting Twitter all together. This means that if developers can’t update the games then players won’t be able to log in and play, something all of us can agree is a huge bummer!
Which Games Exactly Will be Affected?
Unfortunately, a number of games have already been impacted, including the popular game Monster Strike 2.0, as well as the classic Bouncy! While both of these games were extremely popular and did a great job of connecting players together, the unfortunate news is that you will no longer be able to connect to your account via Twitter.
So What Can I Do?
If you’re one of the unlucky ones that can no longer play these games, then don’t fret. You can still enjoy other games by signing up for a new account or simply by logging in with an email address – after all, some websites don’t even require you to use a social media account!
Also, if you are really missing the games affected by the changes, make sure to stay up to date with the latest news so that you don’t miss out if the developers find a way to work around Twitter’s restrictions.
At Least We Still Have Candy Crush!
At the end of the day, don’t worry too much. We still have plenty of other games that don’t rely on Twitter, such as Candy Crush! Here are just a few of the amazing games that you can still enjoy:
- Fruit Ninja: Slice and dice your way to the top with this classic game of skill and dexterity.
- Angry Birds: Launch those cute birds and watch the evil pigs go flying!
- Clash of Clans: Build a mighty fortress, then go to war against your rivals!
So don’t worry, you don’t have to say goodbye to gaming forever. At least you still have these classic titles to keep you busy – although we’re sad to see our favourites getting the boot.
Happy gaming!
