Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 review: Awesome sound, average ANC
Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 review: Going from Quality to Unbelievable
If you’re on the hunt for a headset that will take your music listening experience to the next level, consider giving the Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 a closer look. With its awesome sound, average ANC, and oh-so-sexy style, it’s sure to be a winner.

The Pi7 S2 is an upgrade from the original Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 model, and while they may look quite similar, the sound quality alone proves that you never judge a book by its cover — or a headset by its looks.
Outstanding Audio Quality
Let’s get right to it: The sound quality of the Pi7 S2 is absolutely incredible. If you’re someone who takes the sound of your music seriously, investing in this headset will be the best decision you ever make. Music comes out crystal clear and powerful, with no distortion or anything like that. It supports aptX Adaptive and aptX HD, so you know you won’t have to worry about any latency or connection issues.
The bass is super clean and balanced, too. According to Bowers & Wilkins, the Pi7 S2 has its patented Balanced Armature Drivers, which are designed to deliver maximum clarity and accuracy. We think they’ve done a pretty bang-up job.
Passable Active Noise Cancellation
Now, let’s talk about its Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). The Pi7 S2 does a decent job at blocking out external noise, but overall, it’s not the best we’ve heard. The ANC is passable, but nothing more.
That said, the good news is that you can adjust the ANC to fit the environment you’re in. So if you’re sitting in a noisy coffee shop, for instance, you can just turn up the ANC to help block out some of the noise. Pretty neat, right?
A Headset You’ll Feel Good Wearing
The Pi7 S2 is quite frankly a very attractive headset. The earcups are nicely textured, and the aluminum details add a nice touch. The headset is pleasantly lightweight and comfortable to wear, too — we could easily wear them for hours on end and not feel any discomfort.
What’s more, the Pi7 S2 is also sweat-resistant, so they’ll hold up if you work up a bit of a sweat while dancing to your favorite songs.
The Verdict?
- Sound Quality: 10/10
- ANC: 7/10
- Design: 9/10
The Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 is an excellent headset for anyone who takes audio quality seriously. It sounds downright amazing, and its design is quite attractive, too. Plus, it’s lightweight and comfortable, so you won’t even realize you’re wearing them.
The only downside is its average ANC, but if you’re not concerned about blocking out external noise, the Pi7 S2 is definitely worth considering. You won’t be disappointed — trust us on that one!
