Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 review: Awesome sound, average ANC
Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2: Not What You’d Expect From an ANC Headphone
So, you’ve heard the hype about Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 and you’ve been wondering: Is it any good as a noise-cancelling headphone?

The short answer is no, not really. In fact, the Pi7 S2 is more like a middle of the road, average ANC headphone. Don’t get me wrong – it still has its good points. When it comes to the sound quality, for example, it’s really good – the Pi7 S2 offers great clarity and details, and the mid-range is particularly impressive.
The Good
But what about the good parts? Well, let’s start with the sound as I mentioned:
- Clarity – The sound coming out of the Pi7 S2 is nothing short of pure and natural, with fantastic clarity.
- Bass – It’s punchy and powerful, with a great amount of depth and thump.
- Stylish – It’s very stylish, with its black and grey colour scheme and sleek design.
- Comfortable – It comes with excellent cushioning, which makes it very comfortable to wear.
The Ugly
Unfortunately, the Pi7 S2 also has a few drawbacks. Its noise cancellation, for example, is not great – it’s not terrible, but it’s nowhere near the level offered by the best of the best. And it’s also quite bulky, which can make it a bit cumbersome to carry around.
Bottom Line
Overall, the Bowers & Wilkins Pi7 S2 is an excellent pair of headphones. It offers amazing sound quality, adequate noise cancellation, a stylish design and great comfort. Although it has its shortcomings, it’s still a great choice if you’re looking for a cost-effective headphone.
