Sony’s expansive PlayStation VR2 FAQ answers (almost) all of your burning questions
Sony’s PlayStation VR2 Got Everyone Buzzing
The release date of the highly anticipated PlayStation VR2 is drawing near. People have been speculating, theorizing, and anticipating the PlayStation VR2 since the moment it was announced.

The good news is that Sony has released an expansive FAQ answering almost all of our burning questions. We might have been better off if they didn’t though, as the answers only did worse at fanning the flames of anticipation.
Headsets and Controllers
The PlayStation VR2 will come with two updated controllers and a headset. The headset is said to be much improved from the original and will boast higher resolution and better performance when used with the next-generation Playstation 5 and the Playstation 5 Pro.
Chargers and Cables
The FAQ also mentions that the headset won’t require a cable or additional power supplies. The only thing you will need is a USB-C cable. Getting rid of external power plugs and cables is a big deal, since it allows gamers to better immerse themselves in the virtual world.
Games and Accessories
The best part about the PlayStation VR2 is that it will support all of your favorite games from the original PlayStation VR. You can also expect there to be plenty of new games and accessories available for the new headset.
Sony promises that nearly every PSVR game will be compatible with the PlayStation VR2. They also say that all accessories from the original, such as Aim controller, Move controller, and audio headband, are all compatible.
Price and Releases Date
The PlayStation VR2 will be released in May of 2021 and is now available for pre-order. Prices range from $299.99 to $399.99, depending on the bundle you choose.
The Verdict
All in all, Sony has done a great job in addressing the questions and doubts we had about the PlayStation VR2. They have answered almost every question we had and the responses are reassuring.
With improved controllers, better performance, upgraded visuals, and no additional cords or plugs, Sony’s PlayStation VR2 has all the bells and whistles to make it a hit. So, what are you waiting for? Go get yours before they sell out!
