Take-Two CEO addresses potential disruption from new business models, distribution and tech
Take-Two CEO’s Unconventional Approach to Potential Disruption
Every great CEO has their own special approach to the problems their business might face. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick is no different – he has confidently stepped up to the plate and addressed the potential disruption that new business models, distribution and tech could bring to his company.

Step 1: Acknowledgement
First of all, Zelnick had to acknowledge the potential disruption being caused by new business models, distribution, and tech. He opened his address by saying, “When it comes to facing potential disruption, ignorance is not bliss.” That’s one way to start things off on the right foot!
Step 2: Find Weaknesses
He then took the time to analyze the weaknesses of the company. He said, “We must be honest with ourselves about our weaknesses and our strengths.” We can only assume he found more weaknesses than strengths, but he refused to be discouraged!
Step 3: Take Action
Zelnick didn’t simply acknowledge the disruption and analyze the weaknesses – he decided to take action. Here’s how he planned to tackle the issue:
- Put a planning infrastructure in place: Zelnick recognsied that having the right planning infrastructure was key to addressing the current disruption. He quickly put a plan in motion.
- Adapt products and services: He also highlighted the fact that their products and services should always be kept up with social trends – giving customers what they want, when they want it.
- Leverage technology: Finally, Zelnick emphasised the need for Take-Two to make sure they are leveraging tech – from augmented reality to artificial intelligence.
Step 4: Put on a Brave Face
To finish things off, Zelnick put on his bravest face, addressing potential investors. He joked, “If disruption can’t bring us down, nothing can!” It seems that no matter what comes his way, Zarneck is confident in his abilities to keep the business afloat.
It’s clear that Zalnick is taking a fresh approach to dealing with potential disruption, and so far it seems to be working. We can only wish him continued luck during these uncertain times.
