Yale Assure Lock 2 review: Great design, but a buggy app
Yale Assure Lock 2: Great Design, but Poor Performance in Bed
It’s fair to say the Yale Assure Lock 2 has a lot going for it – great design and easy installation. But, like many relationships, once you get into the bedroom its performance leaves a lot to be desired.

Looks that Kill
The Assure Lock sure looks great. It’s sleek, modern, and comes in a variety of attractive finish options. There are few other locks on the market that can match its stylish design. And while it may look good no matter which room it’s installed in, its “bedroom performance” leaves something to be desired.
Buggy App
In order to take full advantage of the Assure Lock 2, its accompanying app needs to be installed. The setup process is fairly straightforward, but the app itself is slow and buggy. It’s prone to lagging, crashing, and won’t always respond to commands. Not exactly what you want your lock to do in an emergency.
Bottom Line
If you want a lock that looks great and works reliably wherever you install it, the Yale Assure Lock 2 isn’t going to be your best choice. The app remains buggy, which could potentially lead to security or reliability issues down the road.
But if you’re a fan of good looks, the Assure Lock 2 has you covered. Just make sure you don’t depend on it too much in the bedroom!
